On 9-10th of April, NATO ENSEC COE’s expert had the privilege to participate in the esteemed Operational Energy Summit 2024 held in Reston, VA.
At the heart of the discussion was the panel titled “THE GEOSTRATEGIC CONTEXT FOR OPERATIONAL ENERGY,” where Mr. Wsewolod RUSOW RALLD HoD shared insights alongside Ms. Neetu Farabaugh, Acting Deputy Director for Global Resilience at the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy. Mr. Michael Wu, a former Air Force energy official and Army lawyer who now runs a respected consulting firm, creatively moderated the panel.
During the thought-provoking panel session, the panelists delved deep into the complexities of operational energy from both strategic and operational perspectives. Their contributions were insightful and transformative, illuminating the pivotal role of operational energy in modern military operations.
The summit, hosted by the Honorable Ms. Sharon Burke, Former Assistant Secretary of Defense for Operational Energy at the US Department of Defense, served as a platform to explore innovative strategies and solutions to enhance energy resilience and efficiency in the military operations of tomorrow.
