On October 25, 2024 in Ostend (Belgium), LcL Gildas PRECHEUR, Deputy Director of ENSEC COE presented to Members of BENELUX Parliament the challenges of critical energy infrastructure protection.

Indeed, energy is vital to modern society. Enhancing resilience involves reducing vulnerabilities by understanding critical infrastructure, assessing threats, implementing mitigation strategies, cooperating at the international level, and planning and conducting exercises like the Tabletop Exercise Coherent Resilience (TTX CORE) proposed by the ENSEC COE. In crisis management, you face at least two main challenges: paralysis and time constraints. These can be countered by knowing the procedures and practicing through training exercises to be prepared when the critical moment arrives. The numerous questions that followed made it clear that this topic was receiving significant attention.” – said LcL Gildas Precheur.
