On 3-7 December 2018, NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence will conduct a table-top exercise (TTX) on CEIP focusing on collective defence of fuel supply. The goal of the exercise is to identify vulnerabilities in current fuel supply infrastructures, determine military dependence on those infrastructures, and to consider measures that can be taken to protect them. The classification of this event will be NATO RESTRICTED and will require participants to obtain national security clearances prior to attendance. An initial planning meeting (IPM) will take place in January and will be followed by three planning conferences throughout 2018.
The purpose of the IPM is to develop goals and objectives for the TTX and determine methodologies. During the meeting, attendees will consider potential stakeholders and participants for the exercise, draft the agendas for the planning meetings, choose an exercise location, and collaborate on scenario details.
